According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Wilmington's single and multi-family building permits for Q1 2014 improved from 710 in 2013 to 1070. This represents and overall Year to Date improvement of 51% over 2013, which is the 2nd highest increase of all the metro areas in North Carolina.
