compared with a year earlier, and average and median prices rose as
well.

– roughly New Hanover, Pender and northern Brunswick counties – rose
nearly 18 percent last month, to 532 from 451 in September 2012,
according to statistics from the WRAR.

The median price – the point where half of homes sold for more and half for less – rose 7.3 percent to $183,500, the Realtors reported.
